BEFORE
The view into the neighbors backyard and kitchen window was wide open! A "buffer" between the two worlds that was also a world in itself for butterflies, bees, and birds was needed. The Nice Driveway is now a mixed border of shrubs and perennials.

The Nice Driveway received its name after a camp out with one of Kathy's great friends at Wellesley Island State Park. Her friend's brother in law was visiting and toasted "Nice Driveway!" When  inquired, Kathy learned that he had been hanging out in the Polish bars of Buffalo, NY where he mistakenly thought everyone toasted "Nice Driveway!" A sober ear would have recognized the slur as Nozdrowie and/or Nostrovia which is a common Polish cheer meaning to your health. Now she and a few of her close friends frequently toast "Nice Driveway!" Why not? It certainly is an improvement.
